Spotted this in PC-World in East Kilbride

It is a 1080p set that conveniently doubles up as an electric fire, running at 495w peak output ;-)

Great price for a great set. The one in EK is shop display, most other places have 1 on their books, most being marked as display models. Some weren't but the shop assistant reckoned the stores concerned (Curry in Hamilton and Edinburgh) were too lazy to update the system.

As it ended in 97p the guy knew that they were discontinued.

I know a little about this set via a relative. The odd thing about it is that although it's rated at 495 watt, it actually seems to use no more than 250 watts, and that's been checked using an Owl meter. And even after 3 or 4 hours it never even gets warm. You'd expect it to push out a lot of heat, but it just doesn't.

Great set, great price.

i actually have the tv..... reaLLY great tv, never warms up etc..... a little research shows that they showed the highest watts that ( could be used ) because its plasma, power works as to how much light it gives.... example. . . a part of a film thats has a dark scene will use less power than that if the scene was a bright scene...

if im wrong let me know, and at that price it's well worth it, so hope you bought 1 or 2
