WHAT IS 'FORMED' HAM?
Horrible stuff - pieces of pork muscle, injected with water, salt, polyphosphates and other preservatives. It is then re-moulded, often into square blocks or a laughable "ham joint" shape. Look out for "reformed ham" on labels -this is produced in a similar way and may contain connective tissue as well as muscle meat.
Ok for pet food or West Brum fans but not for me.
It's a gammon joint...cut from the bone,
It's not like the cheapo reformed ham slices with added water you get in Tesco Value.
