even though the 5.4k rpm has 32mb Cache? I'm pretty sure the bus speed cant keep up with 5.4k anyway?

The bus transfers 3GB/s but these hdd are able to transfer at most 1GB/s (well, the 7.2k) I'm sure the 5.4k rpm hard drives are slower. Google a bit and you'll find some good answers to your question.

Price is £62.66 inclusive delivery, cold. Scan/scam "av forum free delivery" never works.

pet2000, it always worked (and works) for me... please read the instructions here

And you have to be logged in both sites so scan can update your account and give you the free delivery.

There are benchmarks here:

Hitachi seems faster.

He's not talking crap.
I previously used to get the free delivery, but now I don't (still using the same account, checked previous orders that had free delivery).
It really is hit and miss, so please get the facts before accusing people of 'talking crap'.

EDIT: I've actually just sent them an email asking why I now pay fpr delivery. Response should be interesting.
