Got one of these the other day for the receiver and it works fine with harmony 525.

Excellent find have couple of PC's with Windows XP Media Centre installed.

Never got around to buy a MS remote!

paid £10 from ebay last November and its still around that price on ebay, its a decent remote. It works the Media Centre and It even does all the basic functions on other programs like play/pause next previous etc in iTunes, Windows media player. I will say it does not work on VLC although I have not checked to see if you have to do something to get it to work but by default it does not.

I have one of these and would def reccommend and at this price its a steal i like the face u can launch media center with one button only drawback so far is it not owrking with the VLC player

works brilliantly with eventghost and as a result xbmc, tmt3, and powerdvd. only gripe is the power button is unassignable.

been 5.99 for donkeys years, so not a deal per se, but voted hot cos its a great product at a great price.

Plays everything AND is compatible with my Windows media buttons on my note book. It should also work with the remote control.

I have one of these and I have mapped the buttons to my Harmony 525, then using intelliremote I have assigned those buttons to do whatever I want the buttons to do (only thing I cant do with it is type letters and move the mouse).

I use it primarily with KM Player as I find it the best media player for avis and mkvs (it also works without having to install any other codecs, ie a clean install and just kmplayer on a pc will just play everything), but it also works fine with my powerdvd for Bluray and HDDVD playback.

Highly recommended.

This is only £5.75 on ebuyer and has been for years, you will need to factor in delivery though, or use it as a filler item.
Like others I am using it with my 525, girder and ZoomPlayer.Works fine and has a decent range.

This isn't a particularly good price. I think I picked mine up for 3 quid of fleebay. These receivers are pretty cheap.

As for the actual remote, yeah they are pretty good WHEN they are supported. The problem is they dont work in stuff like media player - though they do work in XBMC.

I'd say, if you're after one - 6 isn't bad but dont feel like you need to jump on it.
