New Tesco Mobile PAYG Tariff - 8p Calls 4p Texts

Tesco Mobile have launched their new 'Lite Tariff' in response to Asda Mobile's cheap rates. It could be good for low mobile users, particularly those who get better reception on O2 (Tesco) than Vodafone (Asda). Also, you get triple Clubcard points for every £1 you top up on Tesco Mobile. The data charges are a bit steep though!

Pretty sure you don't get the triple credit with this, so you're better off with the triple credit and your five half price numbers

Tesco "triple credit" is not as straightforward as it sounds. The 'paid for' credit and 'free credit' are kept very separate, and for me that is confusing and irritating. For example. I can have next to no 'paid for' credit but plenty of 'free credit' - but I am unable to use free credit to send a text abroad or make an overseas call, for example. So I need to add say £10 to my balance to send a text, even though I have £15 free credit still!

It's too frustrating and it's not right to call it "triple credit" - it isn't, because the added credit isn't the same as the credit you pay for.

Yeh I found it too confusing myself. Also I got the sim for my 10 year old and top up £15 and only got £15 credit. When I contacted Tesco Mobile they said he had not text 'credit' before he topped up therefore was not entitled to triple credit. Told them it was a joke and change his mobile to an Asda sim. Much easier to understand and know how much credit you got left.

See with that triple credit deal, can u also use the 5 fave numbers aswell? Or can u only use 1?
