duplicating/relisting deals, whats the time limit

I know this will have been asked and answered before but cant find it. When is it ok to post a deal thats already been posted, i had an idea it was when a post hadnt been posted in for a month, but have seen a few that have been posted in and the duplicates left up, so is it a month from them being posted or a month from te last post

Generally speaking, we say a month but it also depends on whether prices have changed during that month, the last time the thread was bumped, whether the item was in stock for the entire month the thread was live, whether there's another factor such as a voucher to take into account....

Which deals do you mean in particular?

no nothing has changed and threads where posted in recently, just dont want to be spamming a dupe then getting a roasting for it, oh and do quidco and vouchers that have been around forever count, so if someone posts something for an item at £10 then a week later someone posts the same item but adds quidco and the rac play voucher for example, does that make it a new deal, couldnt they have been added to other deal

i thought even if expired, and they came back into stock then the old thread should be unexpired, not a new deal put up

Sorry to intrude but I was wondering this too and I thought it was ok to spam dupes. Also its a bit tiresome people reposting stuff thats just over 1 month since it was last posted when there hasnt been a significant change in price, for example the Trident splash 10p posts.

Again it totally depends on how long it's been expired for..

If you think something's a duplicate posting then post a link in the thread and spam it. Or report the thread so we can check it out- members wouldn't get in trouble for trying to be constructive.

If you go through posts happily spamming every single one, then that's a different matter

To be honest we need members like you who use the report function, and who know the rules to keep doing what you're doing. Again, if you come across a thread and you realise it's a dupe, or you think it's a dupe- go ahead and spam it. If you're not sure then fire in a report.

If there is no definite rule then of course we have to use discretion and common sense- we can only do what we think is right. Not every member on this site will agree with every decision we make, but we are trying our best so if we make mistakes then tell us. If you disagree with something we decide, let us know. That's all we can do
