I'll stick with the $11 offer. £58 is a lot upfront, whereas I don't really miss £7 or so every month

Voted hot though, a good deal.

I got onto this place through here - and am on the $11 a month deal, which must be around £6/£7 - for the DSL package, which maxes out at about 1mb/sec.
I consider that a bargain, so this is much more so....I'm in.

Coincidentally, I got this yesterday from Xennews, which works out at about £17.50 for 100gb:-

You would have had more for less if you went with Astraweb.

180GB for $25 dollars which is about £15

I use Astraweb monthly sub of $11.

By the way, I wouldn't pay too far in advance. The RIAA have won a case against Usenet. It may all come tumbling down!!

Of course.. it's like asking if you can visit a different website like ebay or paypal on your broadband.

Will it max out a 20mb Virgin connection like Newshosting does? I pay them $15 a month at the mo, but they are very reliable and my Virgin cable connection is almost always maxed out when I download.

No it isn't, some ISP's will manage nntp packets, whether or not O2 do though, I'm not sure.

Astraweb are definitely reliable but their retention has never been the best.
