New Merchant Voucher Box

There is a new feature on HUKD! Previously when submitting a deal or freebie, users were given the option to attach a voucher. We have changed this to allow for a more simplified deal submission process, and also to make vouchers more visible to users. The voucher attachment will now be automatic, and you will see a voucher box displaying vouchers for that merchant below the deal description. We are hoping that this will be a better user experience overall and will help users find vouchers that will save them more. Any feedback on this change is appreciated!

P.S. If things look a little bit strange at first, pressing ctrl-f5 on a PC and command-R on a mac should make everything ok.

A good idea, I am guilty of forgetting/not looking at applicable vouchers when posting a deal. However surely this will now mean useless/non-applicable vouchers will be attatcheds to all deals for that merchant.

Bad idea. Simply now people have to sift through the vouchers, as you cannot select which is relevant to the deal. Meaning people will now have to go through the current vouchers for say play.com and find one that fits the deal as you now can't see them when submitting a deal? Meaning the end user has no idea whats relevant unless the OP has done the leg work and had to write the voucher out again in his/hers original post.

Your going to alienate more new users now, by getting more people spamming/expiring and commenting on there deals because they didn't know about x voucher on x website.

Which begs the question do you use the system at all?

Spot on! Good points.

Just tested adding a play deal and it attached loads of play vouchers which didnt work for the deal I posted. Gonna get a load of valid deals being expired now!

Much better the way it was.

When programing a system you usually have specific testers who give feedback on the system you have created but it seems feedback is just as everyone states it is 'ignored' when it comes to suggestions.

One positive is a like the layout of the new vouchers section on the deal. But having all vouchers is completely useless and I don't see why taking more members choices away 'improves' the site. If they wanted to improve it for new members, let exisiting members edit and add vouchers to there deals if they know theres one relevant?

the fact is you now have to click on EVERY voucher to see whether it is valid for the deal (and most are not).

Hardly an improvment in my eyes.

The lack of any kind of beta testing on this site is astonishing.

as it is i don't think its a better user experience. I think people will get more confused and expect codes to work just because they are on the op, then they will expire.
