£10.00

330°

FOUND BY: damos22 4 months, 6 days ago

Basically i think you have to do be doing a working holiday for minimum of a year to be eligable, but still what a bargain if you can get one! I can't find if its 100% a return ticket or not either but from the info they give it looks like it is.

Full details available in the link.............

Thanks a lot for this, much appreciated. It's one way only, though.

T&C's: The £10 fares are one-way only and available for travel between 15th August 2009 and 30th September 2009 and 1st November 2009 and 30th November 2009.

I just registered and you have to go down to their shop on August 5th and be one of the first 145 there to do it.

Annoying!

I'm going to one of the listed locations where they are selling the holiday visas to ask a few questions such as accommodation and employment (Will they be recommending places to stay? Are there 6 month period jobs set up? Do these jobs have a range of criteria of qualifications necessary?)

Would be great to go to Australia to work and the experience but it feels as though once you get there you're on your own - is that worth £10?

Hopefully some light will be shed on the matter and reassures my paranoia.

its only worth it if you have already planned to go to Australia. A working holiday visa means you can only work for 6 months out of the 12. You only get granted 1 working holiday visa in a lifetime and they cost about £90.

It says you need a working holiday visa to apply for this flight so they are in a win win because if you dont get a £10 ticket you're not really not gonna go cos you will of just wasted £90 and bought a visa which you wont be able to get another one of.

As i said its great if you've already got plans to go to Australia in the next few months and havent already bought your plane ticket, but they are'nt going to give you a job or anything you will just get on the plane for a tenner and turn up in Australia where you will then need to find your own job, if thats what you want to do cos no one is forcing you to work for 6 months its just an option.

The deal is basically a Qantas return ticket for £678 (which isnt bad at all) with the possiblity of getting £668 back if your one of the lucky few to get a £10 ticket in August.

You don't have to have a job lined up, you have to keep moving around so you can't stay in one job the whole time as your supposed to be traveling. Also you need a certain amount of money in your bank account to qualify for a visa (I think it's two grand.) You also have to have a return ticket or the money on you I think (besides two grand). You can also take any job, but on the forms they will ask you what your skills you have and what your looking for, but that doesn't matter. They just want to make sure your not going there to live permanently.

too many conditions to call it £10..

the working holiday visa alone costs £149 via STATravel.
Plus its only one way, so unless you'll not return to the UK, a return flight must be bought

its still hot for those who need it and can get the return flight at similarly low price

Even if you get the return flight at full price you've still saved a grand...

thats not true, you could go over there and stay in sydney for 12 months and never leave, and work in the same job for 6 months while your there (it used to be 6 months working but only 3 months in any given job) the 6 month working rule is the only restirction to note, and yes that your supposed to have a certain amount of funds in your bank when you enter the country too but this is rarely checked anyway.

yes there'll be some saving but I doubt it will be "a grand"... a normal priced RETURN flight to sydney in Nov would only cost around £700,probably less if you look around

like I said it is still hot for those who need it
