Wanted: Graphics Card

POSTED BY: o BLACK TIGER o 4 months, 6 days ago

I want a graphics card, doesn't have to be the best.
I don't have much knowledge on graphics cards, but just good enough to play second life.
I could pay with PP gift or swap either a Nokia 3410 or Samsung E900 for it

Shipping/Payment Instructions: PP gift

Which type of graphics card do you need - AGP or PCIe or PCI?

AGP or PCIe or PCI is referance to the interface with the motherboard

What make / model of PC do you have or is it a custom built PC?

OK with the info you have provided it seems as if you require a PCIe (PCI express) graphics card

I just googled your card, and the prices seems to be around £14, for a 256mb, how much memory is yours?

I have a ATI X1800XT for sale should eat Second-Life 2 for breakfast, £45 inc p&p

If in doubt about which graphics cards are better than others, I tend to use:

Nvidia 8600gts available for £23 delivered? It comes with a special adaptor which require a spare molex connection

If you want to compare with other cards, its about the same as a 7900GT, X1950pro, hd2600xt, hd3650. Anything with higher numbers will normally be better.

If you have a PSU which isn't very good, I recommend getting a hd2600xt, hd3650 or 8600gt as they don't use much power.

...okay.

Any suggestions on price then?
£20 delivered max. Something like the x1950pro, 7900gt or 8600gts would use much less lower and perform better at the same time.

The difference between 7900gt and x1800xt is huge.
