Were they actually marked at these prices or do they scan differently?
Admittedly, I just looked at the prices on the cases.

when at my local store they had a lists of all the cheap games there were selling buy the side of the games stand

They may be marked up at a higher price, depending how on the ball the department people are. Some will most likely still say £34.99 or something. But guarantee they will scan at the lower price.

Depending how they have done the reduction, a simple "price check" using the tills price check won't sure the cheaper price. Best thing to do would be to take it to a checkout and go to buy it, as sometimes the discount price won't show till the cashier hits 'enter' to get the subtotal amount.
