I use these all the time, they do split, if you're careful lifting them out they don't. Even at full price these are great value at barely more than 1p each, and after all you're throwing them away.

(First off the hot - great price disclaimer!)

But the irony...

I used to use Tesco carrier bags as bin liners / cat litter sacks, which were free.... now due to our concern over the environment I have to purchase bin bags instead and yet they end up in the same skip and are made of the same stuff...

Can anyone explain how this is any better, aside from the fact that huge corporations are making yet more money out of us?

I'm quite happy to stand corrected, I just don't see how one is better than the other... for someone who's happy to put them to good use.
