bought one of these in 2006 from 7dayshop. It's ok for the price and doubles up as a card read. Problem is that if you turn it off you start back from the first track. Also, a real eye-catching design?? Hardly!

I'm pretty sure it can take more than 1 GB, although I've not tried it with an SDHC card.

The main problem with putting in anything of any decent size was what smk77 said, it starts again from the beginning. And without any decent filing system, it takes sooo long to get through that many songs that you'll have finished your gym session/bus ride/etc before you got to the song you were after!!

And as tfish said, its ideal for those occasions/places that you wouldn't really want to take your Ipod. The sound is remarkably good and quite loud if necessary, it is actually quite a decent unit. The one we had has just broke, caused by some heavy handedness with removing the battery (it took the battery contact with it!), but I would buy another.

These were great about 3 yrs ago. Time has moved on and quality mp3 players are rediculously cheap now. This unit has fiddly buttons that sometimes take more than one press to operate, the display is tiny, but as mentioned the biggest drawback is the non-restart at last track feature. Going through the menu every time becomes surprisingly tedious.

From what I remember (3+ years ago) it had an awful menu, annoying buttons and it reset to the first song whenever you switched it on. I think the battery cover was a little fiddly to get on as well. I'd pay a little extra and go for a decent one nowadays.

Another Sainsbury's 'wild goose chase' deal. Still may drive the 10 mile/2 store round trip to get one in Edinburgh and will post my success/failure.
