Got pink ones too!... if only i was braver! ..worth a look as they have some georgeous shoes on sale. too high for me though.

as this is your first pair of DMs your going to have lots of fun after wearing for the first time...after a couple of hours i was in agony...i couldnt wear them for days....my first pair from years ago are still the comfiest pair of boots i own...good price for coloured dms

I agree...
They are an instrument of torture to break in, cuts around your calf muscle and blisters galore. Worth the pain though because they will become the most comfortable boots you'll own, will last forever, and are sub zero cool.
Shame there not made in the UK anymore, but still a quality boot.

I've had mine for 6 months now and they have progressed from torture device to unconformable. How many months do I have to wear them until they become super comfortable like everyone says?

They should have broke in by 6 months !!
When they're new i just do short walks in them... and i keep the laces loose and gradually do them tighter over time.

I had the shoes. Rub wax in the heel and in a couple of months they will be the most comfy shoes ever. i loved mine. Alhough people said i looked like a golf club!

I should add that i always wear the black or ox blood DM 8 eye original 1460.
The 140cm laces are too long and i use 100cm laces and only use 6 eyes to lace them up.... otherwise the top of the boot will always cut into your ankle as they have no padding.

Nice colour, don't know if i like the idea of having to wear something for 6 months for it to get comfy though. Is it really worth the 6 months of torture to get a comfortable shoe?

I got married in white Docs

wear them in the bath then wander around in them for a few days, Rub some vasilen in to them when they dry to soften the leather and you'll break them in in no time.
