Laptop for under £500

POSTED BY: munday63 4 months, 4 days ago

Hi,

I am looking to buy a laptop for around £500 and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. The spec i require is:

Core 2 Duo Processor
2gb+ ram
256mb+ gfx
160gb+ hdd
dvd-rw drive (would be nice to have blu-ray)
3hr+ battery life
and a "free" upgrade to windows 7 on release.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The dual core athlons are ok but for that money your will most certainly get a cracking core 2 duo with at least 4gb memory and 250\320 or even a 500gb hard drive mate.

Like this lot......

Intel Core 2 Duo T6400, 2.0GHz, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 15.6\" TFT, DVDSM,Webcam, Vista Home Premium here at £449 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168884

Or

Intel Core 2 Duo T5670 1.8GHz, 4GB 250GB 15.4" BrightView TFT, DVD±RW Lightscribe Writer, Bluetooth, SD Card Slot, Vista Home at £380 here http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164845

Or

Core 2 Duo T6570, 250GB HDD, 4GB RAM, 15.4" TFT, DVD±RW, Vista Business / XP Pro downgrade a business system for £474 here http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160832

There are some Dell units too...................HP or this compaq from Comet here.......

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/pro...RES-CQ71-140EA

This is the older CPU but it has a 17.3 inch screen and 4GB ram and a 250GB Hard drive.

Just some for your money..........................you can get some bargains at the moment.

Hope it helps....

Hi there Friend, i have got a laptop which is exceptional, and its more than a head turner, ive got a HP Pavillion Limited Edition (only few built) Bronze, 250 GB harddrive, 3GB RAM, duo core processor windows vista, its brand new still only few months old, it can handle many tasks.

The reason i am seling this is that i am in need of money, so i am happy if you can make me a offer, i really dont feel like giving this powerfull machine away but what can i do.
