Sony Ericsson W995 on O2 £25 - Free Phone, 600 mins, unlimited text - 24 month + £45 quidco @ CarphoneWarehouse

£25.00

-63°

FOUND BY: super_leeds_86 4 months, 1 day ago

I know people will vote this cold down to 24 month contract but you can sell the phone now and get around £200 or in a years time for about £100 and buy another and put sim in it.

This deal:
£25 x 24 = £600
Quidco = £-45
Total = £565

free phone and no outlay other than first bill

Simplicity x 24 months = £480
w995 sim free = £350 at play.com (£300 on ebay if you dont want to use a retailer)
Quidco = -£100
Total = £730

Huge initial outlay

Here's the info
Tariff: O2 £25, Bonus 24 months

Inclusive usage:
Inclusive minutes 600 minutes Anytime Any network
Inclusive texts Unlimited texts Anytime Any network

Usage rates (outside of inclusive minutes) - Usage rates Anytime
Anytime any network 12 p each

NOTE: I phoned up o2 as I'm at the end of a contract, mentioned this and also asked for unlimited web bolt on for free and they gave me it. So might be worth phoning o2 direct if at end of a contract and haggling and bargaining to get the web bolt on for free.

Quidco is at £45 but remember you wont get it if contacting o2 direct so the quidco is a benefit for new customers.

Cheaper deal would be appreciated if anyone knows of one.

Also have 14 day cooling off period.

Sorry but it's a £300 handset simfree. this tariff will set you back £600 over the 24 months. Not a good deal

ok what comparable tariff would you find to go with your sim free handset? Also can I have a link to the £300 sim free handset.

If the handset costs you £300 thats the cost of this deal INCLUDING tariff over 12 months and with your way there's still a tariff to put ontop. Hence more expensive!

I'm wanting the best deal.

EDIT:

This deal:
£25 x 24 = £600
Quidco = £-45
Total = £565

free phone and no outlay other than first bill

Simplicity x 24 months = £480
w995 sim free = £300 (what retailer?)
Quidco = -£100
Total = £680

Huge initial outlay

Its an even better deal if you dont count quidco which is by no means guaranteed

paying 600 quid for 24 month contract is a bit over the top to be honest just my opinion, i would never enter into a 24 month contract

ive just done 18month contract for 600mins & unlimited tx at 34.25 a month on O2 as with O2 you get free bolt-ons as well as priority gig tickets the tickets for me is worth it especially for huge bands where general sale sometimes gets you no where!

But anyone with an iPhone will be paying at least £35 per month on a 24 month contract = £840 (plus the £90 or £175 for the phone) or £30 per month on an 18 month contract = £540 (plus the £185 or £275 for the phone). Which would be at least £930 (24 months) or £725 (18 months).

This deal is for a phone (ok it's not a smartphone, but still one of the better ones out there at the moment) and contract for £600.

Even keeping the phone I have at the moment (Sony Ericsson K850i) and continuing to pay £25 per month I would be paying £300 for the year or £600 for the 2 years. This deal is the same but you get a shinny new phone thrown in.

How is it not good?

it's alright saying pay £300 for sim free phone but personally £34.25 a month is easier on my wallet than £300! and if your already paying monthly it doesn't dent your budget as if your like me its already accounted for.

Just my opinion!
