I think this is a good deal - perhaps people are reluctant to buy an OSless machine, but personally I wouldnt have a problem with that.

Looks pretty cool as well. heat from me.

I wonder if system drivers come with this deal because if not, this can be a pain (Windows drivers included in OS are normally useless). Another problem could be low quality components. It's really not cheap enough to take a risk on that, imo.

I would have though it would come with a disk with drivers on it. After all you buy and compnents be it GPU/motherboard/sound card etc.. they all come with drivers.

Anybody bought one of these last time around? If so how did you get on with it?

I'd say it's cold (although I'm not voting) because it's a fairly standard price for a dual core Celeron, although it's not clear how these stack up against the T1600 celeron dual cores or Pentium dual cores. You can get dual core Pentiums, and even Core 2 Duos with operating system for not that much more.

It's Celeron Dual Core with 1mb(1.8ghz ),800mhz fsb and Penryn core. In theory, it should be faster than the 'older' Pentiums Dual Core (Yonah, Merom, no mention CDC) - T2XXX, it would match T3200, being just a little slower than T4200.Fairly good cpu IMO.

With no OS this looks initially good for putting Linux on. However a quick google for the SiS M672 integrated graphics reveals this would appear to be a chip set to avoid under linux. 2d drivers at best - 3d no go!

If you want to install Windows this could be a good buy but I'm highly doubtful..

I was just looking at this one, for me the minus OS is actually a good feature, I'm not sure if it will meet my requirements though.

Nethertheless, anything has to be better than my current laptop.
