Good deal, but I'm glad i got mine for £73.34 while I could. I like that it has an on/off switch. Mine contains a Samsung hd154ui drive.

this deal is ok, its not really cheap as most places have 1.5tb for around £95 so you basically save £5 if you have free delivery. without free delivery its not a hot deal. for example http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150124 and http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-Expa...8966217&sr=8-2

For about a £5 more you get this superior Samsung alternative also from Scan and Samsung is a leading brand and it has 32MB cache amongst other goodies, just the 32MB over 8MB cache is enough to justify the extra £5:-

Excuse my ignorance, but how will a 32meg Cache help over a 8meg one, when using it over a USB2 connection?

Surly the drive is running nowhere near the speed it could, if connected via a Sata or IDE connection.

Thanks for any info.

probably because it will be a samsung drive, and not a maxtor or some other rubbish.

plus 32mb rather than 8mb. rip the drive out and use it internally, throw away the usb enclosure.

The drive in mine is a Samsung, so the cache should be 32mb.
