High-end ? no, you'll be wanting a 4890 or 4870X2 at the very least.

Yes it is perfect for Cod unless you play 1920 x 1080 or bigger .Will only struggle with Crysis/Crysi warhead,

The best config from toms hardware seems to say Two Radeon HD 4890 cards in CrossFire Configuration are a tie for top spot. So looks like a hot deal!

its OK noise wise, I had two 7600 silent cards in my PC and yes it does make more noise - but everything would, but not so I am naffed off, and I like a very quiet PC, you can also control the fan via the software to a limited extent.

Hmmm... I'm very tempted by this. The 512Mb XXX version is available for a couple of pounds more. WOuld this be the better buy? I assume the 1GB of RAM is overkill? I run at a max resolution of 1680x1050.

personally I'd get the 1GB version and clock this at the other cards XXX speeds
1Gb might offer gains at that res but unless you are willing to OC it then you'd still be better with the xxx version

Cheers for the reply! I must admit I've always had Nvidea cards so I think I'll stick with them. I see there's quite a few to choose from and wide price range.

Any one you think I should go for around the £100-£150 mark?

Much cheaper than the Asus, just as good a card.
