I recently bought a Nikon D5000 for 599 + Nikon cashback option (I could have had it for 579 the week before but it was out of stock). In the end i bought it from Jessops (pricematched) but there is currently a fault with a batch of nikons d5000 so I would check the serial code before buying from a shop (and i would think twice before buying online for this camera). When i bought this one the guys at Jessops told me it didn't have the problem when in fact it did. I had to ask them to check all their stock before realising that I now have to wait for next delivery before making the exchange.
