£5.00

FOUND BY: RS2000 3 months, 2 weeks ago

A Tesco Mobile SIM with £10 top-up loaded on to start you off. Once you've used this up you can triple your credit with £15 and £20 top-ups. For example, if you top-up £15 we'll give you another £30 free credit, giving you £45 to spend on calls and texts to any UK mobile or landline, at any time. You can also use your free credit for mobile internet browsing or picture messaging. A £20 top-up will get you an extra £40 free credit. If you choose to top-up £10 we'll double it - giving you £20 credit. It really is as good as it sounds. Your free credit is given once each month, takes 48 hours to activate and is valid for the whole month. We also give you half price calls and texts to your five favourite numbers, so calls to these numbers are 10p per minute instead of 20p and texts are 5p a text instead of 10p. Tesco Mobile Pay as you go terms & conditions apply. Call 282 before your first top-up to register for free credit and 5 favourite numbers. Free credit given once a month, takes 48 hours to activate and is valid for 1 month. Flat rate, 5 favourite numbers and free credit is for calls/texts to UK mobiles, 01, 02 and 03 numbers only. Free credit also includes UK picture messaging and mobile internet browsing. 08 and 070 personal numbers max call cost 20ppm.

Tesco used to also give an extra £10 free credit that lasts a month included with the top-up that you initially get by just buying this sim. I posted this deal months ago though I don't know if it's the same set up. You ended up with £20.20 just for buying the sim, although the free £10 credit expires in a month and can't be used for premium services.

I asked for my mother, and they said that to all intents and purposes, Tesco is a different network, so may as well have been vodafone, thus no discount.

Plus Quidco of course!

As top-up credit is tripled, doesn't this mean that the £10 SIM credit is worth only £3.33 ish? Unlike say, an Orange SIM with free £5, that's worth and costs ordinarily £5.

Rubbish - vodafone do not do £50 credit for £10 - they allow you to convert £10 to about a £15 contract's level of allowance (so many minutes & texts) - the £50 figure is notional & to my mind stupid in the context of HUKD - not many HUKD users will spend £50 per month on standard calls/texts on pay & go.
