Energy Saving Light Bulbs - 5p at Asda

£0.05

381°

FOUND BY: MarreZ 3 months, 2 weeks ago

I was in Asda Linwood on Sunday, and by quite a few of the tills, they had baskets with various energy saving light bulbs for 5p.

Obviously quite a saving, they are selling them at a loss to promote energy saving, they had a mix of screw and regular type sockets.

Great, heat added, cheaper than the 6p ones that Morrisons have been doing ;)

I doubt very much that ASDA are selling anything to promote energy saving! More likely someone has give them stock to shift because something like the EU said the allowed spec changes from i.e. next yr or something.... nasty things but decent price although local b&Q had them at a penny last week.

Asda are not making a loss and its certainly not to promote energy saving. All the big stores recieve the energy saving lightbulbs free from the government. Still a good deal, but lets be honest if they're not having to pay for them they could do a better deal
