If people know there are more films to come, why would they be stupid enough to buy an incomplete boxset?

I can never understand it...

hardly .. if for example there are 7 movies in a series, wait until all 7 have been filmed / released and buy that box set.. rather than only 5

someone's collection would look a bit naff with a 1-5 box set and 2 single movies stuck next to it

you wouldn't buy a Lord of the Rings boxset with only movies 1 and 2 in it!

Well the obvious one that comes to mind is children not wanting to wait four or five years for all the movies to be out on DVD. Whilst I agree that those keen to build a complete collection would pass on this, it is a viable purchase for a lot of people, and is a great deal at this price. It would make an excellent Christmas present for those thinking ahead.

Voted hot.

Then you would still have an imcomplete collection since there are 8 movies.

The HP cash cow must be milked just that little bit more.

I was using the number 7 as an example (not referring to HP specifically).

I'm not a HP fan, so didn't know how many there are/were

Limited Edition my ****, this set's been out for a bloody long time, either no-ones bought it or its limited to 50 million copies. Either way, limited edition should be something like 5-10,000 and If I buy something limited edition I want the price to rise cause its hard to get not come down. So this is ****, but its still a hot deal for the price so voted hot.
