Free smoke alarm & possible deep fat fryer when you trade in your chip pan from your local Fire Service

** This may only be for vulnerable residents only. **

http://www.fireservice.co.uk/safety/chippans.php

I know that this has been posted before but not with a deep fat fryer. Staffordshire Fire & Rescue & also Wigan offer this service, check your local fire service for information.

"The safest way to deep fry is to use a thermostat-controlled electric deep fat fryer. Its thermostat stops it from ever overheating. Its also worthy to note that some Fire and Rescue Services will supply certain home owners with Deep Fat Fryers as a replacement for their Chip Pans."

They say vulnerable residents ie over 60 but my mum got one & she is 50+ (she'll kill me if I say her age)

Book a Home Fire Safety Visit - Get a FREE Smoke Alarm
For complete peace of mind, book a Home Fire Safety Visit with your local Fire and Rescue Service today.

Home Risk Assessments (HRA) or Home Fire Risk Assessments (HFRA) as they are also known, are now being carried out on a daily basis by many UK Fire and Rescue Services.

The length of the visit can vary from 25 - 45 minutes dependant upon what is found and the concerns you raise. The service is free of charge. Visit is done by a serving fireman

What a rude & pointless comment! Has nothing at all to do with what I've posted so maybe you just keep your comments to yourself!!

All the best chefs use a deep fat fryer - I would have thought frozen ready meals were more suited to chavs than freshly peeled maris pipers fried properly !

I also occasionally use a deep fat fryer and am definitely not a chav.We batter our own fish and have fish and chips a couple of times a month--yum yum.
Thank you for the post.
