They should be in more than one branch, I initially saw them in my local store (Castleford) last week then had a trip to Liverpool yesterday and saw some there too!

Good deal, although why anyone would want a scart to composite lead is beyond me unless their tv doesn't have at least a Scart input (highly unlikely in this day and age and the graveyard of old TV sets) A full wired Scart lead is RGB, composite is lesser. Converting Scart to composite or Composite to a partial wired Scart (non-RGB Composite) is counterproductive.

IF you have an AV reciever you can input from a scart source using these cables. Many AV recievers take this and can then upscale to HD-ish video. Any of these in Dundee??

Yes, but as cicobuff says, you'll get a really bad picture because it's fundamentally the wrong thing to do. "SCART" is just the type of plug on the end; it is capable of carrying composite (this form - the worst), S-video or RGB signals. If your receiver has S-video or (better) RGB inputs then use those instead, with a different lead. Expecting quality pictures by "upscaling" composite video is living in fantasy land.

I was trying to figure out how to use my Technomate sat receiver which I use for viewing foreign channels and upscale the SD pictures so I suppose this lead would help.

Suppose I'd have to buy and expensive Av amp first though to do the upscaling ?????

EDIT Oh dear maybe not.
