samsung hd plasma tv with £160 off ky hd box

£849.00

i found this a good deal.
if you buy a plasma or indeed any tv worth over £169 from currys you are entitled to £100 off a sky hd box.
these boxes are £299 , if you opt for multiroom with your old sky box then you get £60 installation fee waived , this basically means you get multiroom for a fiver a month.
sky are adamant they are not reducing the price of the hd box no matter how much i pestered them, so although currys wasnt the best place to buy a plasma i thought the money saved with the hd offer more than made up for it.also with ordering online and collecting in store you get £150 off the plasma and are able to collect it yourself that day :)
this was espically helpful to me living in northern ireland as even though i could get a cheaper tv online , the extra in delivery cancelled out any savings.

cheers for the link
seems a lot of people are getting the blank from sky, im usually good at talking a company into matching a deal or price but they werent budging.
my local currys had no problems getting the hd, paid them £30 and installation on thursday, sky have been paid already and it totalled £169 , the other £30 came from currys and as i took out the multiroom no install fee.
in reality a rip off for the hd but once you decide you want a hd tv then u sort of have to have it

yep, its mainly non-existing customers having problems unless all arranged in store from what I have read and my own experience.

There is another offer for £199 floating around, mentioned in the thread I linked, if you have a National Trust? sub.

There are some rumours of a new deal through Sky in Feb, but mearly speculation from what I can tell.

I'm buying that plasma, but from john lewis it's £50 cheaper with a 5 year guarantee. I'll wait till sky drop their price.
