Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City £24.85 from shopto

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City(includes The Lost And Damned & The Ballad Of Gay Tony)

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City delivers two games on one disc -- the all-new episode The Ballad of Gay Tony and the first episode, The Lost and Damned -- together on disc for the first time. The package will not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.

The Lost And Damned

Johnny is a veteran member of The Lost, a notorious biker gang. Johnny has been creating business opportunities for The Lost in Liberty City, but his first loyalty must be to the patch he wears on his back and to Billy Grey, the club's President. However, when Billy returns from rehab hell-bent on bloodshed and debauchery, Johnny finds himself in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of a city torn apart by violence and corruption. Can the brotherhood survive?

The Ballad Of Gay Tony

Grand Theft Auto IV's second downloadable episode injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City does not require the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play

Yep for now at least - if the rumours are true:

GAMESCOM Rumour:

Well, thanks to SCEE forum moderator Yaster, the whole World now knows that Lost And Damned will be heading the way of the PS3 (we don’t call it PlayStation 3 anymore, as no-one else is). In a thread on the PlayStation.com forums (which has now been removed, presumably by another moderator) a rather excitable Yaster said, in reference to Gamescom opening up to the public today:
"And they were certainly showing some PS3 love – Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned was available to play in a special 18+ area, we didn’t manage to get our hands on it due to the MASSIVE queue – but those inside looked pretty ***** excited."

OP, what format is this on? It's not clear from your post if it is PS3/360/PC.

No tabbed browsing at work (one window at a time for me); poor monitor can't see that white border on a white background.

The OP should include the platform in the description, like 99% of deals.

The PS3 story could well be true, this was a rumour back in May:

PS3 'Lost And The Damned' due in August?
Sunday, May 10 2009, 17:30 BST

By Mark Langshaw, Gaming/Comics Reporter

Grand Theft Auto IV expansion The Lost And the Damned has been rumoured to arrive on the PlayStation 3 this August.

The Lost And the Damned is the first of two planned episodic expansions to GTA IV. It was originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive in February, but according to PSW Magazine, the add-on is about to land on the PS3.

In its latest issue, the magazine claimed that Microsoft only has a six-month exclusivity deal for the content, which expires in August. The article went on to say that the content will arrive on the PS3 once the deal has run its course.

The original 360 version was well received by critics, who hailed its improved motorcycle mechanics, strong voice acting and addictive multiplayer component.

Rockstar Games is yet to confirm a PS3 release for GTA IV: The Lost And the Damned.

Perfect, thanks.

I've checked, and these are 1600 MS points normally, which makes the £15 for 2100 points routes slightly cheaper. (2100 = 140 per £1 @ £15 for 2100)

1600 points = £11.43 per episode; £22.86 in total (the latter is not yet out?)

However, this route enables folk to have a physical disk, which many will prefer, and some won't. Not hot or cold either way, as this is the cheapest disc I can see, but it is cheaper to buy the £15/2100 points cards.

Do you need the original GTA4 disc to play the DLC?

I don't know, I've not bought them - merely pointing out that these can be had for cheaper if one chooses. I appreciate this allows the user to not require the original, but seeing as this game crosses over slightly with GTA 4, I'm going to throw a guess out there and say that the vast majority of people who buy this will have played GTA 4 and possibly still own it.

Then as I said: it's still the cheapest disc version, but for those who can access it, it is cheaper to buy the content online.

Everyone's a winner.
