Samsung SPF-71E 7" Digital Picture Frame - £29.99 @ Sainsbury's

£29.99

212°

FOUND BY: Uridium 3 months, 3 days ago

Decent branded, well made and nicely styled (there are some real cheap and nasty ones about). Takes SD cards and USB sticks as well as the 120mb built in storage.
(Sainsbury's description doesn't mention USB sticks but it does support them)

Auto power on/off function at chosen times to save power.

Other nice features are clock functionality allowing use as a digital clock, clock with calendar and also clock overlay over photo slide show.

Optional Auto resize feature and auto rotatation of Landscape/Portrait images.

dreadful resolution, regardless of whether this particular model can be bought cheaper elsewhere is irrelevant, it's a poorly spec'd unit and I'd steer clear.

"Cheap for a reason"

This Res is pretty much standard for Photo frames in this price range. you will be paying nearer £100 for a good branded frame with an 800x600 res.

The resolution is more than sufficient for me for this size of panel to display a few snaps of the kids and the nice clock overlay and non tacky look was the main reason in choosing this one for me.

Same as TV's it's not all about the numbers I'd rather have a quality branded 720p Panel over a nasty 1080p okey cokey branded one.

You can get 800x600 @ 7" for around £40. Technika of course, but quality would be better than this one.

In fact, Tesco is still doing the Toshiba 8" one for around £50, which is even better.

Good enough if you're just bunging up snaps. I'll have one
