The RE0 In Ear monitors are superb quality and rated very highly by the headfi community.

I was about to buy them a few months back for $169 so the price of $99 plus $10 shipping is a genuinely good offer. It works out at £68 or so depending on the rate of exchange.

They don't look as fancy as Shure/Klipsh etc but if you want the best IEM's at a good price then this is the deal you have been waiting for.

If it is coming from outise the EU don't forget VAT, Duty and processing fee when it enters the UK.

I have not heard of anyone getting hit for duty when buying smaller items from Head Direct as they mark it up low and if opened it looks like a $20 set of headphones. I bought a small headphone amp from them and had no duty to pay. Of course YMMV.

Understood, but nevertheless, duty, VAT etc is chargeable and us such we need to budget for that when comparing prices.

Great idea until the package goes missing, and the carrier will only pay you the declared value of the package - so you lose about £60

Oh you are all so scaremongering ;)

I am sure there are many here who have bought from Dealextreme etc and not had lost parcels or been hit for duty.

Well it is getting chilly in here so I shall move on but maybe someone will benefit from what is actually a good deal.

Quicklite:
Why so cold?
Prob cos shipped from China so people wary of duty/vat and going missing. However if you read reviews of the retailer on headfi.org there have been no probems I can see. These headphones are superb quality and at this price a bargain. I also suspect that the lack of branding or aesthetic looks will have something to do with the cold votes.

I'd get directly from Head fi site. Pay by paypal.

The sound quality in High and mids actually rivals that of SE 530 - which is simply remarkable for this price. IMO ppl who vote it cold either dont buy into quality, or dont know what they are missing.

I want to order a pair, but the GBp keeps depreciating relatively.. miight make do with a cheap pair of CX-500 for now.
