Have to agree that is not a bad laptop for £319.

Many of the laptops that are around £300 are usually pretty poor with slow processors etc, but about the only bad thing about this is the fairly small hard disk. It even has Vista Home Premium rarther than Home Basic.

But with external drives being so cheap a smallish hard disk is not a big problem.

Note the cashback offer runs out 31st August so you have to be quick in getting it in.

I wonder if we will get more of these deals in the quiet period before Windows 7 hits the streets. Many companies might want to clear their shelves of Vista laptops.

Slightly cheaper at Laptops Direct though it seems Misco are offering another 1GB of RAM although if you were going to upgrade that anyway it doesn't really matter as you'd have no use for it.

I'm assuming the Windows 7 upgrade applies regardless of retailer.

Here are the details on the Toshiba site, where it is priced at £399 (ex VAT) but with £50 cash back.

.
You have to make the cashback claim between 30-60 days from the invoice date. So If the invoice date was today the soonest you could claim is the 20th of September. To qualify you have to make the purchase before 31st August, though as the offer was running last month it is possible it will continue in September.
