Gamestation Price Match with CEX on Games + Give you extra!

This is nothing new though, it's been Gamestation policy for months.

I don't think many people know about this game station don't promote this. You have to ask them for it so unless you already know about this then you would miss out. A reminder always helps..

Do Gamestation give cash for games or just credit?

I couldn't get the Glasgow branch to pricematch with CEX as the nearest one is Edinburgh.

careful as i done this in the sutton branch last week and had to argue as they said they would beat the total price by £1 and i had over 10 games , so i just said " ok do 1 and beat it by £1 , then i will take a credit note then come back and do the next 1 and again so either do it in 1 go or its going to take more of your time , in the end they done £1 extra each game

been policy for ages, they normally have posters up stating such. Newcastle branch - manger said he had credited plus the £1 extra (should have checked so my own fault), but just mached the price. also Ceex in newcastle are atrocious, very badly scratched discs that don't work, no instructions, no receipts (ie. for price match) just general poor customer service.

My gamestation gives £1 extra on each item for trade-in, but only if they don't sell it for less than I'm being given. If they do, then they will only price match.

They only match the price on cash too, and won't beat by £1.

Incidentally, in the sale at Gamestation at the moment, is Real Football 2009 on DS pre-owned for £2.99 - you get £8 trade-in at CEX for that Gonna go swap it for a blu-ray

on a reply to earlier i tried to get gamestation in edinburgh to price match promise cex but the guy in there said they dont match cex as they accept goods with less stringency over id !

Couldn't get the one in Hemel to do more than £1 total over hmv rather than £1 per game :(

Gamestation in doncaster will only pricematch cex if you take a printed quote direct from cex (which is basically impossible to get).

So different stores have different polices.

Although I did see a poster that said gamestation would give an extra 20% on trade in until september.

I just use a print out from the website with that days date on to get price matches

This was in my local Gamestation today too - 20% extra on all trade ins until September 3rd.

I had this problem with a Gamestation in the past, I quoted them the back of their receipt "We won't be beaten on trade-in" and spoke to a manager, and he was 'managers discretion' and all that. Called up Gamestation's HQ, complained and the confirmed that all should be price-matched + £1, and so long as you have proof then its fine, and then returned the following day, manager apologised and ever since they have been great - always price-matched CEX for me (and others) and put the extra £1 on each product too... this was Merry Hill near Dudley (W Mids)

im assuming they price match cex cash price and not credit price?
