Thought this was pretty interesting. First and only season of the Spidey animated series from 2003.

DVD Description
When a nasty bite by an irradiated spider endows teenager Peter Parker with miraculous, arachnid-like powers, his death defying heroism wins him admiration from those in need. But being a superhero has its drawbacks...especially when you're in college! As Peter gains the trust of his friends, the police call him a vigilante. But he meets the challenge by exercising his wonderful powers for the good of all. Multi-talented performer Neil Patrick Harris (Undercover Brother, Starship Troopers), television star Ian Ziering (Beverly Hills 90210), and singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb (Cake and Pie), lend their vocal talents to this thrilling, computer-animated version of the comic book classic and mega-hit feature film, Spider-Man.

Synopsis
This beautifully rendered computer animated version of Marvel Comics' beloved super hero features the voice of Neil Patrick Harris (STARSHIP TROOPERS) as Peter Parker/Spiderman. Here, Peter has graduated from high school and is attending Empire State University. Still burdened with the desire to use his incredible, spider bite-derived powers to do good, he finds it hard balancing his responsibilities of being a super hero with schoolwork and his romance with Mary Jane.

I really enjoyed this series; the animation style takes a bit of getting used to at first, but once you get into it... Woah! The theme tune rocks, too!!! £3.00 is an absolute bargain, if you can find it!

Good price, can't fault it.

However, please don't get confused between The New Animated Series (This) and The Animated Series of the 90's, as they are two different series altogether. Personally I preferred TAS of the 90's.

I also believe this is referred to as MTV Spider-Man, which shouldn't be confused with Fox Spider-Man which ran from 94 to 98.

Still a good deal though if you ask me.

Very much agree with this statement, I would love to get that series on disc. Unless this is it of course. Bit confused...

That one was TAS (The Animated Series) from 1994.

You can get it here: http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/95457...2/Product.html however you can probably get it cheaper elsewhere.

If they ever release a complete boxset of all those episodes it will be a must buy for me. Great series and lots of fond memories.

As for this deal, I haven't seen any of these episodes but £3 doesn't sound like much of a risk.

Had a look on wikipedia and it has these release dates, presumably coincidently it seems these are being released right now.

United Kingdom full season release dates:

Season 1: June 22, 2009
Season 2: August 3, 2009
Season 3: August 17, 2009
Season 4: September 15, 2009

Definitely thinking of the one voiced by Neil-Patrick Harris (same cover as the photo above). Follows on after the events of the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie, but then goes its own way. Class. Trouble is, cliff-hanger ending then cancellation. Argh! Don't you just hate that?

Yeah I was really looking forward to the next season. Shame it never came about. Easily worth £3. Really enjoyable series.
