This is a great printer (I have one). Mine does not have the duplexer unit so that's a plus. And the price seems pretty good to me.

I usually get my inks direct from HP - there's always an offer of some sort on. Colour inks are around the £7 mark whilst black is a tad more expensive (from recollection) around £15. But the beauty is that you have five separate colour reservoirs, so if one is expired, you simply replace that one.

A cheaper ink option (especially if you're a heavy user) is to get one of the external ink reservoirs that have been posted on here - one of Andy Wedge's posts referred to these when it was a Boffer deal recently. Then you just buy the inks in bulk and top up the reservoirs. A colleague at work swears by them - see this link You would of course need the HP363 system see here.

Anyhow its a great printer despite the negative votes!

thanks for the info on the inks ladily. Agreed, if the inks can be had at a reasonable price this is a great printer with all the features you'll ever need at a great price.
