20 litres @ 104.9 = £20.98

20 litres @ 99.9 = £19.98 + £50 on shopping = £69.98...

I'd rather spend £20.98 and get the same amount of petrol thanks

That makes sense

So if I said:

Pay £10 on petrol and get nothing = £10
Pay £20 on petrol and get a car = £20...

I'd rather spend £10 and get the same amount of petrol thanks

Does your family not shop?

There are some real fools on here - like the guy who is going without food so he can vote cold.....

p.s. 99p if you take 5 pence off is what he meant.

great deal for those who do their weekly shop from Sainsbury's.

Personally I don't like these type of offers (originally devised by Tesco) as they don't fuel price wars in between the main competitors.

Effectivley saving 4.85% on a product with the condition that I spend £50 on the merchants other goods just doesn't excite me at all!

Petrol is a commodity and the merchant /supplier will charge what they want until demand ceases.
Why are we so obsessed with petrol/diesel prices? Can't live with it, can't live without it? but will complain until we are blue in the face by how much we are charged for it.

You want cheap fuel ? STOP CARING, STOP USING and only then will you be truly saving.
