Not really it is like asking can a Ford Focus get to 0-60 in 2 seconds. It is a great budget car, but can't handle the most power consuming and harder tasks, but gets from A to B fine, maybe if you add a HD 4870 from Ebuyer which is £90 @ Ebuyer, you can consider playing games, at high resolutions and good frame rates, and extra Ram won't go a far miss...

Sorry for a stupid question.
But could anyone explain to me hat how Athlon 5050e dual core compares with say Pentium dual core or core 2 dual processor.
Some-one told me that Athlon models get heated quickly? Is that true?
How does it compare with the value deal on E buyer
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164667
Thanks a lot

Processor
AMD ATHLON 5050e Dual Core - £50
Memory
2 GB - £15
Hard Drive
320GB SATA - £40
Optical Drive
DVD-RW - £20
Software
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium - £55
Display
X193HQ 19" TFT - £75
Graphics
NVIDIA® GeForce 7100 up to 896MB

Speakers Not Included
Input Devices
Value keyboard & optical mouse - £8

No Wireless Lan
No Modem
Motherboard - £20

Costs around £283, and I have not factored in a new case and Power Supply which would easily cost £15-£20, and you are paying for ebuyer to put it together for ya, good price considering IMO...

Which for the average user would gain them almost nothing.

Very few users would use more than 2Gb of memory.

And 32 bit Windows dos not use much above 3Gb anyway.

altho, it doesn state its 32 bit vista it probably is 32 bit. vista eats ram, you can use the extra ram for burning dvd, plus ddr2 ram is ridiculously cheap nowadays. i suppose light users , that only use it for web browsing wont mind 2gb but the heavy pc users might want more.
i know your prices are rough estimates but just to be more accuate

thats bit too low for a motherboard, i reckon £35 maybe £30 cheapest. and a dvd drive is about £15, £20 is pricy me thinks. End of they day it probably is cheaper than building it yourself or equivalent to the cost of building. the go to deal does not work. correct link http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167158

SFF - Small Form Factor

you not going to get a decent GFX card in this I doubt., check out the size of the grille on the side

I would never buy an Acer SFF, if those that remember the L100 disaster, it got do hit it physically caused burns it you touched it.

The 5050e is an energy efficient version of the Athon X2, so is actually less likely to overheat and hence preferred in smaller cases. It compares with the mid-range Pentium Dual Core processors.

No, I have the X3200, assume it uses the same 8200 nvidia integrated graphics chipset which is fine for playing older games such as Battlefield 2 and Half-Life 2 on medium settings but would struggle to play the latest games on even the lowest settings. The non-standard sized 220 watt power supply limits any graphics card upgrade options. Nice multimedia system though.
