I know it isn't something you are aching to own, or that there are Ikea's in easy reach of everyone, however, a good quality metal (and heavy) toilet roll holder for 10p has got to be a bit of a bargain.

I don't know how much it was at RRP (we think £4.99)

There were loads of clearance bits and bobs all over Ikea from vanity units down to a tenner, plants and 'stuff' loads of other 10p stuff as well.

Just Binged it £6.99 originally

Only worth 10p, not good unit at all, magnetic seal tough to break to put a new roll on, had it on wall for 2 weeks before it came off thanks to the strength needed to put a new roll on. and space too tight for a cushioned roll.

We are actually using it as a hand towel rail in the girls bathroom, and just tried pulling it apart it was OK, thanks for the warning, luckily we won't need to get it apart!

Best thing to do with this is throw away the smaller half and use it without it.

I have this in my bathroom and think it serves the purpose.
Only problem is when the wall gets condensation the poo roll gets soggy on the side touching the wall. Magnetic part is strong but not too strong and fine even if you're weak but it wont fall apart this way so its good.

For 10p it is deffo HOT, I know i paid more!

I've got 2 of these, at first I thought the same as you, but then I realized what I was doing wrong....

You have to pull where the magnet is, then it opens up no problem. If you keep pulling at the top then you will have problems.

Once I realized this I've had no problems whatsover.....been up for 2 years with no problems whatsoever

These are very easy to put up - only 1 screw needed.

They are also very good quality. Very heavy when held.

Oh my god this is my exact toilet roll holder. Can't remember what I paid but more than 10p.

It is forever falling out of the wall - i hadn't put two and two together before that the reason for this was the "relatively hard" process of opening it up. Even pulling at the magnet end, it is a damn strong magnet.

Well worth ten pence. Magnet mechanism is a major design floor, pity as it is a chunky nice thing otherwise..
