Mains Voltage Halogen 50W light bulbs 14.99 for 30 (50p a bulb) @ Screwfix

£14.99

58°

FOUND BY: monkeysexboy 2 months, 3 weeks ago

Came across this in screwfix and thought it was fantastic value for money,
one pack cost £6.11 for 5,
but if you buy 6 packs you get them for £14.99,
That is £14.99 for 30 bulbs which works out about 50p a bulb
if anyone knows anywhere cheaper than this let us know

they are not being banned. Just stopping manufacturing of them in the EU.

I expect play.com will start selling them lol

I also bet the manufacturers have many years worth stockpiled.

They are that price because they really ARE cheap. You would probably use 20 of those to one of these.

I have proved that - the cheap ones dont last very long the more expensive ones are great
1 have 140 downlights in my house and bought some cheap ones for the utility, a room not used as much as others and they have been replaced with all of the cheap ones I bought and have not changed my more expensive ones in other rooms at all
so good price and rep added thank you

Yeah, got these once and they had a horrible pink tinge. Don't know how long they would have lasted as I binned them and put in some decent ones

You missed off the s*dding delivery charge of a fiver, unless you spend £50 or more - so correct price should be £19.99 inc delivery.

I am maried to an electrician - I have downlights everywhere - personally dont like them much I think they are 'old fashioned' now - oh well !!
30 lounge
15 in each bedroom 25 in kitchen etc.....
some are flourescent and some are led so dont cost much electric, slowly changing over to led
