Good price. Paid about £15 at Christmas for one and have not seen it as cheap since. Great battery life. Would consider getting the VX Nano for more features though.... but only if you can get it cheap.

Thanks.
Was considering the VX Nano but couldn't find one for a decent price. Not sure if I should wait and see if there are any deals coming up. Have just placed an order from Amazon for this mouse nevetheless - thought I could give it as a Christmas gift in case something better comes up

I recently bought the Labtec one from play.com at £4.99 which was a good price (it has since gone up to £8.99 I think) but the receiver is kinda big and doesn't come with the on/off button. But it was really value for money.

Can anyone test if can you change the left and right tilting (of the scroll wheel) to be used as Back and Forward on the IE explorer?

I find the missing thumb buttons quite annoying unless i can use the left and right tilt as Back and Forward buttons.

The VX Nano is superb quality & just as responsive as my wired Logitech G3 mouse.

Yes you can (just tried it) Left = Back and Right = Forward

The only thing I would say is this mouse is a little on the small side, not good for people with large hands. It can also be turned off and has storage for the nano receiver within the mouse if required, also an extension lead if you need to use it on a desktop machine.

Thanks Dodger21 for the testing

yes it's small but the VX nano is even smaller. Hence I didn't like the VX despite better looking and more buttons

That's how I have mine set up (pretty sure you can user define them). It even works with Firefox - after I had problems with IE shutting down for no apparent reason I moved over to Firefox and haven't looked back since.

The only problem with using the forwards and backwards on the centre button is when you come to use someone else's mouse and it doesn't do it!

Would this be suitable for a desktop pc and what is the battery life like on it?

not sure about that as I tried all the various mice on displayed and thinks the VX is a bit on the small side. I think the Microsoft Explorer mini is the most comfy but bulkier and doesn't come with nano USB

I use mine on a desktop no problem....and battery life is great (as already mentioned) - seems to last loads longer than my Dell. I think it is supposed to last 6 months on normal batteries but I use rechargeables.... have charged them once since Christmas
