Cheaper 32gb iphone 3gs on contract @ O2

FOUND BY: matt_1989 2 months, 2 weeks ago

STARTS: 12/09/2009   

buy 32gb 3gs on payg 538.30 payg then get the simplicity 02 plan using quidco £100 already posted deal on heres the cost spread out

538.30/12 = 44.86 over 12 months+ £11.66(simplicity) = £56.52 pm ( on a 12 month contract taking cost of phone into account)
538.30/ 24 = 22.43 over 24 months + £11.66(simplicity) = £34.09 pm ( the equivilent if you stayed on a 24 month contract with this)

so a saving of £178.80 so even if you dont get the 100 off quid co its saving of 78 plus your getting 800 min 1600 text and bolt on ( unlimited web usage included) where as you would get 600 min 500 text on there own contract.

also your only subjected to a 12 month contract rather then 24

Cost of 02 direct iphone 32gb contract
(175.19(cost of phone) / 24) + 34.26 = 7.30 + 34.26 = 41.56 pm ( price of Contract of 24 month contract on 02 ect)

plus if you wanted it on the 18 month 02 contract it would be £100 more making the contract

15.24 ( for the phone per month) + 34.26 ( for the contract) = £49.50 a month!!

saving 15.24 a month over the 18 month contract £277.38 if you dont get the quidco its £177.38

yeh but thats not the point, this is a cheaper way of taking out an iphone contract i dont see why its cold all the sums add up

i agree with the op here, seems a fairly decent price to pay for an iphone when you consider the average cost for a like for like deal. It may seem and outragous sum of money uprfront but over the course of an 18 month contract you pay just as much anyway....

thank you, this is for anyone thinking of purchasing the 3gs, just because you wouldnt pay £500 for a phone doesnt mean othe people would, this sites about saving money, if i was to purchase the iphone this is the way id go about it
