but the reason that I am reposting this, is that XFX have improved the offer by offering the following on top of the purchase of the aforementioned card for a limited time. Also this time round they have only 8 stock left

Also whilst research. This card with this price gives you the best fps/£ I could find. Agreed that this is refurbished but it is a damn good deal.

Might be old, but good games. And regardless, this is a cracking price for the card alone : £110 delivered is a good price, so £92 is great! The 1gb 4870 performs very closely to the 4890 and GTX 275. Bargain!

this is good price, yes new dx11 cards out on 23rd sept but they not going to be cheap :( 5850 around £180 and the 5870 around £280 at a rough guess.

I had a few returns to the XFXShop. I bought a Nforce 680 LT motherboard and went through 3 of them before I finally gave up and got a refund. I also went through 2 8800GTS graphics cards before I got one that worked. Their stuff is cheap but I would think long and hard before ordering from them again.

Just my experience.

yeah my m8 bought a gfx ard from there and he has had no end of probs :(

Lower than the GTX260? Rubbish - check some benchmarks. It's closer to 4890 and GTX 275 than it is the GTX 260 192.

This test shows 4890, 4870 1gb and GTX 260 216 - The 4870 easily outperforms the 216, in non nvidia biased games at least!

this deal is nla, even though the website still advertises the games as inc over £50 orders you do not get them, the games are quite old and probably would not amuse upto date gamers.
Also the graphics cards have sold out (i got one of the last ones) however there are more items in the shop, and fantastic low offers on sli motherboards are about 50% off retail price. (sli means nvidia graphics only, not ati crossfire. check out the 790i for a top range/spec board.

yep the support and warranty is a joke when i needed my gfx card replaced
they kept going round and round in circles, have u tried another pc have u cleaned the fan YES and YES etc etc
next week same bloody questions, i said look i just wanna send it back etc for repair, in the end i said stuff it rather cut my losses
wont be buying xfx again
