Good concept. Except these are based in corner shops and the guy I went to was as miserable as sin because I was holding up the queue in the shop. I wouldn't trust them with anything breakable.

Has anyone used the service before? How did it go.

They cover NI too, so that would easily be the cheapest parcel option to or from NI.

Cheers, Des.

No you take the parcel to the shop they give you a receipt and a tracking number and the parcel get delivered by HDN (Home Delivery Network) with a guaranteed signature. It is a brand new system that many of the shops don't understand yet.

Not for £3.99 they don't

5. The Recipient collects it when it suits them

Wrong, the parcels are collected from the store and delivered to a store near to the recipient. They have to then go and collect it. This is not a home delivery sevice.

Really useful info - will give it a go, turns out my nearest depot is two streets away, much better than hanging around the PO all day! Heat added.

Thanks - better than recorded delivery but not as good as Special Delivery or 'normal' couriers.

So they don't actually have there own stores they use local shops? Sounds like a much nicer idea as going two minutes up the road is a hell of a lot better than going to the Royal Mail sorting office to wait in a half hour queue. Though how do you know that the people behind the counter at the local shop know what you're asking for (they're not always the brightest bunch!)
