would need more spec on this. Be careful when buying as if you purchase a 2.6ghz one it will more than likely not work if you have wireless broadband or even baby monitor in the house.

Recently had to pay out extra cash for a higher frequency of 5.8ghz as this operates above all wireless equipment.

It will work with Virgin Media but you will not be able to control the VM box remotely through the slave interface, whereas with Sky you can. Hope this helps.

That's not quite true. Older Virgin STB's use IrDA to send remote commands. If you have an old Pace 1000/1010/2000 or the Scientific Atlanta 4000/4200 then you need something like the AEI DG400 DigiSender that will handle IrDA. If you have any other STB, like the Samsung or V+ that use normal iR, then any normal AV sender should work fine. Best to search the forums for advice from someone who has your specific STB,

Label on the box wasn't STB specific, it just warned that VM boxes couldn't be controlled remotely (on the ones in Currys). Good advice to check the forums, rep added.

This is 2.4Ghz so you will get interference from your own or your neighbours wireless broadband. I too had the this problem previously so wouldn't recommend getting this even at this low price unless you and your neighbours don't use wireless broadband

I have one of these and it is poor to be truthful. I spent £60 on it and it tends to work 2 days out of 4. The other days it is just full of interference and no amount of messing about will get it working.

stop the interference

Thanks for posting this very useful info, and to Swanlake too.
These posts could prevent a lot of people buying inappropriate kit,and hair -tearing trying to get it to work!
Rep added to both posters.
