There will be hardly any benefit to 2 4770's over 4890 and on bigger displays it will get beaten because of a small frame buffer 128-bit anyone considering crossfiring these would be way better served with a single 4890 as there would be no real difference in performance but in every other aspect its the better card most 4890 cards will reach 950 on core so when OC kill the 4770Xfire challenge and will be cheaper I've seen Powercolour 4890's at £125. http://www.madshrimps.be/vbulletin/f...ompared-63320/ I dont know if you still can but you could pick up 4850's for around thid price which are a faster card with 256 frame buffer.  |

Hi djfluff, heat left (can't leave any more rep yet!). You helped me last time this was on offer - 'Oooo ! they were nice boards. This will take one of the 4770's But not 2 :( (It's a sli board, so you can put 2 Nvidia cards on it, but you would probably need to upgrade your power supply at the same time ...) I would say go for it ! it would provide a nice cheep upgrade for you, and you will be able to play any game on the market (maybe not at max everything) . I would highly reccomend getting a memory upgrade too. If you are getting from ebuyer : http://www.ebuyer.com/cat/Memory---PC/subcat/DDR-400MHz It uses DDR Ram, and you should match it with the speed of memory you have allready. Check to see if you have DDR-333 or DDR-400. If you have 2x512MB allready, buy another 2. If you have 1x1Gb buy another 1.' I didn't get around to it before the price went up, but will do now. However, it looks from the cpuz.txt that I have 2x512MB, but 200mhz. Could that be right? If so, should I replace those 2 with 2x1Gb DDR-400?
