Way better i had an 8800gt when they came out and paid £186 when there was no stock and everyone wanted one and it was the fastest card you could get there was nothing better 8 months later the 4850/4870 came from no where and with a price match at PC world i got a sapphire 4850 for £107 that was head and shoulders faster this is a very good upgrade from the 8800/9800/250gtx and until the 4890 came out was well over £120.

great price. how cheap will these go?

just make sure your power supply has the righ connections before you buy.

"500 Watt or greater power supply with one 8pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (600 Watt and four 8-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)"

Yes the 4850 only has a 6pin connector but 500w and 600w sound about right ,,
