Looks good, always nice to see older machines 'recycled' ... You really don't need the latest and greatest to just check email and do most office work.

My mom back home still has her old dell back home .. it's a 2.4ghz pentium 4, but it does everything ... inc iPlayer.

HOT from me.

Couldn't agree more.

It's the fact that they are selling them at 150 quid, when the real value is as a basic "toy" is about 25 quid that sticks in my throat!
Odd so many fans of these things on here, as when I tried to give BETTER away, no-one wanted it!

Not that great a deal. You can buy a 3Ghz PC for £70 and a 17" TFT for the same.

Am I missing something here?

ALSO

Fujitsu are dire. buy a Dell or a IBM or HP.

Yep ...

I tried to sell my HP desktop and 20" tft (based around a XP 5000+ / 2gb / 250gb bla bla) ... no-one was remotely interested, think I had an offer for £100 ...

Anyway, sold it on - - - - for £250 in the end, guy collected with cash too.

Also Big pockets had a deal very similar to this for £129 not too long ago.

Fujitsu are poor for support and their web site is a pain. Their PCs are notorious for being poorly designed....infamously placing power supplies in the middle of a case so you cant access anything. If you don't open PCs up (I do as I work in IT) this will not bother you.

Great, but they're not doing it now are they? Prices yesterday don't count for much now.

Oh noes, well your average member of the public doesn't need to start opening the pc up ... they have no reason to.

I work in IT too, we don't open pcs - if it goes wrong, it goes back .. simple.

Anyway, I think is aimed at the SOHO environment ... not large businesses.
