I use our breadmaker just to knead and proove the dough, then cook off the bread in a conventional oven. I just don't like the fininshed product from the machine.

If you're considering a breadmaker you really have to go for a Panasonic. Yes, they are more expensive (though a lot less than they were) but users consistently rate them better than other makes. We have an older one and it always gives excellent results. I think the latest model has been on HUKD recently.

Not knocking this one as I don't know much about it but it does look like so many of the secondary brand / own brand ones out there, but presumably with a few Euros royalty added for Ms Allen (no, I hadn't heard of her either but must be multitalented if she can cook AND design electronic kitchen equippment. At least it's more relevant than a boxer who designs burger grills!).

I've been using our Panasonic SD252 twice a week for years now and its still going strong and makes a perfect loaf every time.
