Cheaper and better then the ones in comet/currys, 29 Jul 2009
By Mr Blobby (London, UK) - See all my reviews

Very good HDMI, this looks better, is cheaper, and works better then any other HDMI cables i have. Dont get ripped off by paying £50 for a cable at comet or curries, also they wont look as half as nice as this. The gold connection really does perform. If you wand to connect your PS3, this works a treat. The visuals of the games look great. This cable will give you true 1080P.

A very heavy duty cable, 17 Sep 2009
By Duronic Team "Duronic Team" (UK) - See all my reviews

This cable has a solid metal connection to give better reception. The problem the other reviewer had is easily resolved bi tightening the connectors. This cable is made to last, hence robust materials have been used. Tightening the gold connectors will secure you get best reception

Bad cable, 16 Sep 2009
By P. McDonough (UK) - See all my reviews

This cable is badly put together. It appears that the gold connection bits must have a bad connection to the actual cable part. Any movement of this cable, or the media player it is attached to will lose the signal. Don't be fooled by the "Original price". I am returning for a refund.

Why spend more than you need to on a digital cable? It gives NO added benefit, anyone claiming otherwise either doesn`t understand the technology behind digital encrypted signals, or is trying to convince themselves that they didn`t get ripped off when they spent £100 on a Monster HDMI cable :-)

Or people need to stop convincing themselves that cables degrade significantly when sat behind a tv not moving. Sorry but £10 is a waste when I can get a cable for £2. My HDMI cable is over 2 years old and working just fine after moving the TV between houses, removal of the PS3 its connected to out of the way and still plugs in fine. Oh and I paid £3 for mine.

Gold plating on a digital cable does nothing because so long as the connection is made it will still work. Unlike analogue signals. It is the usual misnomer that consumers will believe anything because of a perception about a particular feature works across all items using it. Gold plating works great for old analogue stereo systems but makes no difference to modern digital systems other than as a gimmic.

Very good HDMI,
Like most of them
:
this looks better,
and you are concerned with constantly looking behind your TV why?
:
is cheaper,
£10 isnt cheap for a HDMI....
:

Are we comparing HDMI to a scart lead
:

Well thats probably true with DSG and co. But again if you are paying more than a few quid for a cable you are being ripped off. The only exception are gripper HDMI cables that hold well to connections made vertically into a HDMI.

In exactly the same way every other HDMI cable will do the same

Are you skipping around the house with them? Wrangling cattle? Scaling cliffs?

They sit behind equipment without so much as a breeze to disturb them.

ive done an installation or two with the hdmi cable chased in the wall...believe me you dont want to 'risk' using a £2 cable that might degrade in a year or two. Buy quality and worry less about it, and i bet it will last longer.

also for example my mum has cats so i got her latex covered ones so if they decide to have a nibble it wont get damaged...

Want one of the best 1 Metre HDMI cables? Then get it ffs.

You don't need it? Shut up.

I can buy a watch for £5 and it will last for 40 years and will tell me the time, but I can also buy a watch for £5million, even though it does EXACTLY the same thing.

People who buy this have dosh, and don't watch the cheap HDMI cables available everywhere.

I know some people who buy gold plates cables for EVERYTHING, they want the best.

Someone clearly doesnt like discussion. Certainly no sense of when you are wasting your money. Gold plated digital cables are a waste of money as they do nothing to assist a digital signal.

Yes but the 5mil one will be a lot more watch for your money. Diamonds, prestige and exclusivity etc. More money on a HDMI cable would be best spend on a grabber HDMI. As the gold plated aspect will be a waste of your money.

Funny cat... latex wouldn't stop a limp woodlouse from chewing through! Any cat I have seen would chew through a steel lift cable - but of course being a cat, it would only be if the mood so came over him. In fact it might even encourage chewing as the latex will give added "mouth feel, after all, cat and dog chew toys are made of rubber!"
