I just bought this microwave grill instore from Comet and it seems to be an excellent little machine. It's more powerful than my last one but takes up much less room, despite being 23 litres. It seems to be a lot of features for a very reasonable price. One feature I like is that you can programme it to do 3 stages of cooking in one session.

IMPORTANT: I got this instore, so no postage to pay, but if you are buying online then LASKYS.COM & KITCHENSCIENCE.CO.UK can do it for the same price but with free delivery.

if all retailers are banging the same item out at the same price (in this case around £70 delivered or pick-up) I struggle to justify a hot vote.
so would this imply that this is a deal where the features / price ratio is hot, rather than the (no) cost saving being hot?

I see it as a hot deal as for a microwave of this spec it is a very good price. I was going to buy the Daewoo microwave (without grill) for £54.99, but then saw this one for not much more money and it is very sturdy without the flimsy plastic handles on the daewoo. Therefore, hot (my opinion).

OK, thanks for the clarification.
I have a natural aversion to traditional cookers so am receptive to any improvements in m/w design / features. The "3 stages of cooking in one session" attracts me.

I assume you meant you bought it instore from Comet not Curry's?

Incidentally, Comet, Laskys and KitchenScience are all the same company.

This isnt actually 'Prestige' its an OEM badged product made for Comet. Not very good quality microwave I can tell you and probably coming out of the Galanz factory in china like all the rest of OEM badged microwaves nowadays.
