Product Information
For a TV with both freesat and Freeview tuners built in, the LG 47LF7700 is in a class of its own.

Offering a wide range of digital TV and radio channels, including High Definition TV stations, freesat HD is a revolution in choice and quality. Simply connect to a satellite dish and enjoy free to air digital TV in both standard and High Definition. HD offers up to five times the detail!

With its 1080p Full HD resolution, the 47LF7700 is the perfect TV to complement freesat HD plus your HD sources such as PS3 and Blu-ray player. The new Twin XD Engine offers faster, more accurate picture processing than ever before with some stunning results to show for it. With a brightness of 500cd/m2 and stunning dynamic contrast ratio of 80, 000:1 it's clear to see that this is a TV that's anything but average. This 47" LF7700 model also features TruMotion 100Hz processing for even crisper images and added depth of image. In short, whatever you're watching will be crisp and detailed with superb resolution and the ideal brightness.

As usual, we would always recommend using a separate home cinema system but if you're intent on using the LG's built-in sound system you might be pleasantly surprised. Using an "invisible" speaker system the 47LF7700 sounds crisp and precise. Furthermore, the SRS TruSurround system creates a spacious sound that avoids the typical TV boxiness.

In terms of connections, the 47LF7700 has everything you'd expect plus more besides. Twin rear-mounted HDMI (and one side-mounted) sockets allow for the connection of 3 High Definition sources, such as a PS3, HD camcorder and Blu-ray. In addition to this, the 47LF7700 boasts twin SCART sockets and component connections for your analogue sources. Furthermore, the PC input makes this attractive TV the perfect complement to your home computer. Topping off the wide range of sockets is a digital optical sound output - ideal for connecting this LG 47" LCD TV to your home cinema for a useful upgrade in sound quality.

Featuring a gloss black surround and elegant stand, the 47LF7700 looks as good as it performs. Thanks to the latest technology, it's also Energy Saving Recommended. For a 47" freesat HD1080p LCD TV with an impressive spec and smooth, good looks, the 47F7700 is hard to beat.

Got a naff review at AVForums if you check their front page but then again I guess they're probably a lot more critical than most of us!

HD Ready means it has the ability to display HD images, but does not have a built in HD tuner.
(Freesat will not be Freesat HD).
Edit, sorry I think it does have a HD freesat tuner going from the description.

So you could feed it with a HD freeview box, HD freesat box, or bluray player say via HDMI and it can display the HD video.

I bought the 42" version recently and I must I was impressed with it. The SD Freesat is very good and the HD Freesat is excellent. I still use my 720p HD-65 to watch my DVD's on a 84" screen though.

If it's got a freesat tuner, all you need to do is plug in your sky aligned dish. No other boxes needed

HELP!
If you buy a FREESAT HD tv and have a standard SKY BOX (not HD type) and you split the signal cable from the dish (if only a single LMB fitted) between the TV and SKY box will both systems work fully as in effect you have two tuners?? If not do you just need a double LNB??

Thanks.......
