Does this play DIVX from the PC? And does it need software running on the PC for it to work?

I'm trying to work that out as well. From my quick google searches it looks as if its a Windows Media Center extender and I think it needs a PC with MCE to to function fully although some people say it can play things off a NAS box. Maybe someone knows more about this device.

Other places list it cheaper, but they seem to be out of stock, or waiting for stock!

There is loads of Info... eg reviews on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-revi...owViewpoints=1

http://www.trustedreviews.com/home-c...er-Extender/p1

They work on Vista, but I am under the impression that they work with Windows 7 too... I am a bit put off having to run the system hungry Media Center components though, (meaning leaving on a PC as a server) ultimately I would prefer to use a NAS, although since mine went bust, I haven't replaced it yet!
I wouldn't even bother using wireless, as I would use mains powerline ethernet, but I suppose it will work if you avoid HD files!

Hmm, wouldn't use wireless either. Depends on the interface really, I'm still tempted by the Hisense but that appears to have a crap UI.
